| MISTER NATIONAL UNIVERSE 2018 FINALS NIGHTThe second edition of Mister National Universe pageant came to glittering finals last Monday at the Grand Ballroom of Holiday Inn Vana Nava in Hua Hin, Thailand.Nineteen candidates competed for the title of Mister National Universe 2018 as well as the special title Mister National Universe Ambassador 2018 together with the 1st and 2nd runners-up placements.In the end it was Nepal's Phanendra Prasai who was declared the Grand Winner. Though he arrived late, Phanendra impressed and won the heart of the judges from the closed door interview and in the finals. Host candidate Nachanun Singlum of Thailand was declared 1st runner-up while Markos Vinicius of Brazil is 2nd runner-up.
Before the announcement of winners, the Mister National Universe Organization awarded the title of Mister National Universe Ambassador to Kenley Filarca of the Philippines. Though he was not part of the top 5, the title was awarded to him for his dedication in the promotion of the pageant's charities and advocacy. He will also be travelling with the winner to promote the pageant.around the world.
Malaysia's Leonard Dominic Manor and India's Farhan Qureshii were part of the Top 5 finalist. Included in the Top 10 are Jael Calcano (Puerto Rico), Kenley Filarca (Philippines), Lionel Luthi (Switzerland), David Aponte (USA) and Edy Ariawan (Indonesia). Special awards winners are Nachanun Singlum (Photogenic), David Aponte (Congeniality), Lionel Luthi (Photogenic) and Kenley Filarca (People's Choice).
Mister National Universe is an international male pageant with the tagline "Where Pageantry meets Luxury". Though the pageant is new in the industry, it is redefining the quality of pageants for men. The candidates official residences - Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort & Holiday Inn Vana Nava, are 6 and 5 star hotels respectively.
"We want them to experience a world class pageant with good quality hotels and activities. We also want them to be involved in charity and hope that hey would bring back good things they learned to their respective countries" said Tanya Vijitsomphong, the Managing Director Hot Hua Hin Ltd. - the owner and organizer of the Mister National Universe Pageant.
The pageant was hosted by SeaGame Mekarkard and Warisa Srinukun hosted the pageant. Mister National Universe 2019 will be held in the Philippines next year.
